Sam Aposotolopoulos has been selected as the recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program expands perspectives through academic and professional advancement and cross-cultural dialogue. Sam will be conducting independent research with Dr. Claudio Barrientos Barria of the Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago, Chile. He will be studying the country’s upcoming Constitutional Convention through an LGBTQ and human rights lens, interviewing queer populations in the country to hear how LGBTQ rights—and their potential enshrinement in the constitution—are being discussed on the ground. – May 2022
