Víctor Hernández-Huerta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and International Affairs and Director of the Latin American and Latino Studies Program at Wake Forest University. His research focuses on comparative political institutions, democracy, and elections, with a regional specialization in Latin America. His work has been published in The Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, Election Law Journal, Política y Gobierno and Colombia Internacional. He is working on a book project entitled Disputed Elections in Presidential Democracies: When Losers Hold Democracy Hostage.
